Only a tiny few will advance to the big leagues while the rest of us are just getting some life lessons and healthy exercise.

Hi Tammy. I hear you. I got some “healthy exercise” more than a decade ago cutting my article-writing teeth on a now-defunct site called Helium. I learned a lot and met some amazing fellow writers — and made about $1000 during my four years there. Pocket change.

As I prepare to jump (or maybe just wade) into the Medium pool, part of me hopes for better income, but another part — the realistic part — gets your thoughts and fears. Thank you for the reminder and for sharing your journey!
