My 2022 Was Brought To Me By The Letter C
Crappy Conditions
We all have life situations, long-term or short-term, good or bad. I’m no different. Some 2022 issues I dealt with took perseverance, patience, and reminders to take it one step at a time.
Chompers (a.k.a. teeth)
We all want good health, but sometimes the maintenance of specific body parts requires long-term specialized attention.
I finally finished some dental work that I’d been ignoring for years. The result was an expected implant and a surprise root canal treatment, both with crowns. It was the only time a dental expert — in this case, my maxillofacial surgeon saw a sinister-looking shadow in an x-ray — recommended a root canal before the tooth gave me any pain. I endured these procedures without complaining because I remember how terrible tooth pain can be. Been there, done that, never again!
Also tooth related, but less dramatic: my regular dentist told me to keep using Invisalign (the modern, more comfortable plastic cousin of metal braces). It’s maintained my straight teeth for the past seven years, and I’ll continue to use it until my last days on earth. Not a problem. It could’ve been a lot worse…
