Ages ago I read Dave Barry's column for a handful of years in the back of a national magazine I can't remember right now. Funny and clever don't even begin to describe his wit. Didn't he publish some books, too?

Either way, I can relate to the non-funny, non-jock school experience. Music was my ticket out.
