A great telling of a lesson learned! Definitely keep those earplugs around.

My similar story: went to see a band that was new to me, called Snarky Puppy. After watching and enjoying a video of them playing in an unplugged, jazz-inspired style, I thought they live concert would be the same. Nope. Saw them at a large venue called The Anthem, here in DC. Loud enough to wake the dead! Luckily, earplugs were being sold all over the building.

Sometimes those little bits of science can help us preserve little bits of our aging bodies.
